313208 Ford 4th April 2023
313208 crosses the River Arun at Ford with 1S28, the 16:00 Brighton to Portsmouth Harbour on Tuesday 4th April 2023. Nine units were out and about with the stretch of line between Ford and Farnham seeing the most activity with 5-6 units passing this delightful location every hour. Access is difficult as the path by the side of the nearby pup is now marked private and the field is prone to flooding...take your wellies!
Update: On 10th May 2023 313208 along with 313201 ran along the Castaway for the last time as 5Z01, the 09:42 Brighton Lovers Walk to Eastleigh Arlington for storage and scrapping. New as 313008 in 1977 this early second generation unit lasted for an amazing 45 years in service.
