73138 Weymouth 2nd May 1999

73138 runs along Commercial Road, Weymouth with the "The Way-Farer" railtour Pt 2 (1Z95 14:20 Yeovil Junction to Weymouth Quay) on a glorious 2nd May 1999. This was the second run down the branch that day for the old electro diesel having already done one out and back from Yeovil Junction top & tailed with 73106. 37250 was also used on the mainline sections. This is believed to be the last ever train to run down to Weymouth tramway to the quay, the line is currently being ripped up.

The English Electric built E6046 ended up with Network Rail for hauling test trains and painted into their yellow house colours receiving a few front end mods at the same time. It was stored in 2017 and current resides at Derby
