08993 Cwmmawr 9th September 1994

Cwmmawr disposal point was still busy in 1994 with a daily train of locally sourced coal taken down to the washery at Coedbach by one of the three Landore based cut down 08's hauling a set of HEA coal hoppers. On September 9th 1994 08993 “Ashburnham” was the duty engine and is seen awaiting its train to be loaded. The empty wagons were taken to the top of the site and then gravity rolled under the loading silo. Once all loaded they would be taken down the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley Railway branch by the 08.
