643-030 Ljubljana 24th July 2018

Another locomotive type in Slovenia based on a French design is the 642/643 series of trip engine which are copies of the BB63000's once found all over France. They were built by Đuro Đaković in Slavonski Brod (Crotia) under licence of French company Brissoneau et Lotz in the early 1960’s. The initial 104 (642 series) were a 825hp machine whilst the later build are a 910hp version and known as a Class 643. The first 22 of this class were built by Brissoneau et Lotz in France and imported in 1967/68. The remaining Yugoslavian built examples were constructed in 1977. Here later build 643-030 trundles past at Ljubljana whilst shunting the carriage sidings on 24th July 2018.
