47305 Long Ashton 12th April 1995
47305 in tatty RFD livery at Long Ashton on the approaches Bristol with 6B19, the 09:40 Exeter Riverside to Newport ADJ on 12th April 1995. This service ran for a number of years to supply Premier Transport at Exeter who recived many goods by rail including new cars. The service was a Railfreight Distribution's Contract Services train at the time and used to move other less than trainload wagons post Speedlink. The consists on that day was 2 empty ZDA’s for the wooden sleeper works at Ditton, 4 PJA’s car carriers for loading at Garston and 10 loaded HEA coal hoppers filled with seaweed (used as fertiliser) running from Truro to Selby.
47305 was a product of the Brush Falcon Works at Loughborough and new to Tinsley in November 1964. For most of its years it was an Eastern Region machine being withdrawn from Tinsley in early 1999 and finally being scrapped at Crewe in March 2003.
