08650 (55) Grain 27th June 1994
Foster Yeoman No 55 otherwise known as 08650 waits duty at Grain Foster Yeoman siding with a rake of 100t box wagons on the evening of 27th June 1994. As D3816 it was built at Derby works in March 1959 and initially allocated to Newport Pill (86B) Ending its BR days at Eastleigh it was sold to Foster Yeoman in February 1989 for use at their Isle of Grain site via a visit to Merehead Quarry for servicing and renumbered to No 55. The shunter duty at Grain was withdrawn in December 2015 and the lcoo found its way back to Whatley quarry for use there. It left Whatley Quarry for overhaul at Railway Support Services, Wishaw on 27th March 2019 where it is currently located.
