33208 Grain 27th June 1994

Dutch liveried 33208 with the standard load for 6T40, the 19:06 Grain to Hoo Junction. D6593 was one of 12 built to the slimmer Hastings line loading gauge by B.R.C.W in Smethwick, Birmingham in March 1962. From new it was allocated to Hither Green and stayed there until 1985 when it moved over to Stewarts Lane and then Eastleigh. In 1969 it was fitted with slow speed control for discharging gypsum at Northfleet Cement works using MGR style wagons, the gypsum coming from Mountfield Quarry in Kent. In February 1997 it was withdrawn but then passed into preservation and currently at The Shackerstone Railway.
