37708 Baglan Bay 2nd September 1996
37708 crawls under the A48 road bridge at Briton Ferry with 6V14, the 07:30 Hull Saltend to Baglan Bay acetic acid tanks on 2nd September 1996. This train ran 3 times a week for many years, at the time there was also a Stalybridge to Baglan Bay and a Barry Docks to Baglan Bay which were both Class 37 hauled and carried Styrine in 100t TEA’s. I was going to return here to cut down the bush to get more of the train in but never did. The former 37089 was scrapped at C F Booth, Rotherham in late March 2008.
