Monopod Support for heavy lens

I am a firm believer in Manfrotto quality. The model 393 heavy gimbal for monopod applications does not change my views. the lens and camera are balanced and locked by the sliding plate, that by the way will not slide through due to a lock placed on the base (both directions).

 

This support on a monopod does not make the combination a featherweight, it does make it totally manageable.
