Rose

A rose at Heever castle.

 

I've only just got round to going through these photos, and I really wanted to try a low-contrast, low saturation look; this seemed a perfect photo for such a technique.

 

Ideally, I'd have had my macro lens to take this; instead, all I had was my 18-70 and 85mm. In retrospect I should have used the latter, which is much sharper and gives nicer bokeh, but I was with Ally's family and was concentrating a bit too hard on keeping up with them rather than securing the best shot I could!
