It appears that the private 10% raise in old age pension promised by the P.M. to Seniors back in 2019, (and still not released), is once again being called upon to become a key part of something different ? This raise was originally a no strings attached straightforward raise for those over 75 ? No one said anything about an Affordability Plan involvement or any other involvement in anything else when the raise was originally presented and understood back in 2019 ?
However, this (still unreleased ) raise matter appears to (once again) be directly involved and included in a totally different outstde matter ? This time it is to become part of a multiple party large financial matter called the Affordability Plan that apparently represents $8.9 billion in new inflation fighting support for Canadians in 2022 ?
Unfortunately, in this new Affordability Plan, they will once again insinuate, presume or pretend that the promised 10% raise in the Seniors OAS is a universal raise that applies to all Seniors in Canada aged 65 and up ? Of course this is a harmfull manipulation because 57 % of Seniors do not get this raise in OAS , and so any inference of Seniors ' universality is false and would grossly misrepresent both the raise itself and all of those Seniors that are aged 65 thru 74 who were never then and will never in the future everl be included ?
