Sketchbook Work: AS Textiles Vintage Project
I went to a carboot sale, which I think represents the vintage theme rather well as there is lots of old bric a brac to use as inspiration in the project. A car boot sale also has an aspect of make do and mend too as it is effectively recycling peoples old belongings are being recyled and reused. The experimentation here using cutwork, transfer printing and the heat press creating images of a jug seen at the car boot sale were successful. I hope to develop the idea of using cutwork based on bric a brac in my corset.
