14/365. Our table
WAH are visiting Tablescapes which is very appropriate for a Sunday, and a little bit more info about me for 365.
As the kids have got older it has been harder to sit down 'as family' to eat. We have never allowed TV dinners except as a real treat, but the kids and adults come and go so much now, that people eat at different times sat at the kitchen table (which is through that far door).
However, Sundays are sacrosanct - either lunch or dinner. Everyone sitting. Sometimes with friends. Never with phones.
As we have done the building work and the kids have got older, we have gained our dining room back. This used to be the 'play room' / games room. It looks lovely in this light but it is carefully shot. The room needs a paint, the dresser to the right of the old fireplace is knackered and there is homework everywhere, taken off the table for supper!
And this is our new table - we treated ourselves at Christmas and replaced the 20 year old one, which although well loved was held together with right angle brackets and weetabix.
