Bayonne Library
The Bayonne Public Library is a magnificent building built in the Beaux-Art and Classical Revival styles complete with Ionic and Doric columns, and richly ornamented architectural details. In 1903, Andrew Carnegie donated $50,000 for construction of this library. In 1913, Mr. Carnegie gave another $30,000 for its expansion. In 1930 the library needed further expansion, and with a total cost of $300,000, the expansion was completed.
