The Tenant House in Waterloo Village
Built in the 1840's, the Tenant House is a three-story stone, two-family dwelling partially set into the hillside overlooking Old Waterloo Road as it faces the Morris Canal and the Musconetcong River. It is also one of the oldest surviving buildings in the village.
It was used as a home for the canal workers, farmers, immigrant laborers, and their families that kept Waterloo Village a functioning and viable community
