Monmouth Battle Monument
This is a monument for the Battle of Monmouth.
This monument is over 90 tall and is located directly in front of the Monmouth County Courthouse in Freehold, New Jersey. The monument was dedicated on November 13, 1884.
There are five bronze relief tablets on the circular "base" of the monument. They depict
- Ramsay Defending His Guns,
- Washington Rallying The Troops
- Molly Pitcher
- Council of War at Hopewell,
- Wayne's Charge.
