New Jersey Maxwell's Brigade Flag

Maxwell's Brigade was part of a reinforcement sent by General George Washington to support the New Jersey militia.

 

The brigade was stationed in southern New Jersey to slow the British advance. Maxwell's troops harassed the British as they crossed New Jersey to New York.
