Drilling at the Jockey Hollow Encampment

When on campaign, a soldier marched all day with a heavy load to carry. Therefore it was essential to training the troops for these campaigns.

 

To do that there was a Daily routine of drilling for 11 hours each day at the encampment site.

 

These demonstrations reenact the training the soldiers would receive each day.
