Reenactment Headquarters

This is the headquarters flag for the Continental Army. It has often been called the George Washington Flag.

it is believed to have been designed by General Washington and is noted for its 6-pointed stars.

The flag was carried every battle and location with the Commander-in-Chief during the Revolutionary War.

The size of this tent would indicate that it would be used by a Brigade or Regimental Commander.

For purposes of this encampment it is being used as General Washington's Command Tent.

Washington's actual tent is on display in the National Museum in Yorktown, VA
