Layout of Jock Hollow Encampmentnt

The Reenactors camp site is set up based on how an encampment was to be set up as specified in Baron von Steuben's book ""Regulations for the Order and Discipline of the Troops of the United States".

 

The smaller common tents of the enlisted men slept six soldiers. They were laid out in three lines, with the larger tents for officers behind them.
