Rolling Cannon on Display at Morristown National Historical Park
While originally identified as a British cannon captured at the Battle of Saratoga, it is now known that no four-pounders were ever taken there. Also, the British were never known to have produced four-pound cannons.
Lacking national markings, it is believed that this cannon may have been Swedish or French. Both the Swedish and French made these cannons. The French shipped 31 of these cannons to the Americans in 1777
