Macculloch Hall in Morristown New Jersey

George Macculloch, a Scotsman born in Bombay the son of a British Major.

 

He was orphaned at the age of 9 and raised by his grandmother in Scotland. He travels widely in Europe during the Napoleonic Wars often disguising his nationality.

 

He immigrated to America from London with his wife and two children in 1806. Settling in Morristown in 1810 and built Macculloch Hall.
