Colonial Virginia's Governor Palace Outbuildings

The building on the left side of the picture is the Palace's scullery, the building in the center is the palace's kitchen and the small white building is part of the palace's bathhouse. The kitchen was oftens in a different building because the people at this time were afraid of fires which often started in the kitchen.

 

The kitchen is open for people to look in and a guide talked about the Colonial cuisine
