Rebuilding the World Trade Center Site

In the months following the attacks, architects and urban planning experts held meetings and forums to discuss ideas for rebuilding the site. On May 30, 2002, a ceremony was held to officially mark the end of the cleanup. Later that year, ground was broken for the first of the new buildings.
