"Washington At Fort Lee" is one of four beautiful murals in the rotunda of the Hudson
The building, neglected by the county from 1966 to 1975, is now nearly completely restored. It was placed on the New Jersey and National Register of Historic Places in 1970 and re-opened in 1985. The building, designed by local architect Hugh Roberts in the Beaux-Arts style, was opened on September 20, 1910. A much sought after location by movie and television directors, it is especially noted for its spectacular murals by celebrated early 20th century artists Howard Pyle, Charles Yardley Turner
