The Casino Pier in Seaside Before Sandy
Prior to Hurricane Sandy Seaside Heights had two piers The Casino Pier and The Funtown Pier. These were amusement parks, each situated on a pier extending approximately 300 feet into the Atlantic Ocean. Each of the two piers are part of a boardwalk that stretches for 2 miles and offers many family-friendly attractions ranging from arcades, to games of chance, to beaches, to the wide variety of foods and desserts, all within walking distance.
Sandy and the Fire that followed destroyed them so this picture is here as a reminder to all those New Jersey natives that spend time as a child on those piers.
