The Pulpits in St. Patrick's and Sacred Heart Cathedrals

At the east end of the Chancel stands the pulpit. In keeping with tradition, the pulpit is a raised stand for preachers in a Catholic Church. It is raised well above the surrounding floor for audibility and visibility. It is accessed by steps and had sides about waist high.
