Jackson Place on Lafayette Park

Jackson Place, located across from the White House, is lined by several townhouses, which date back to the late 19th century. The first is the Lee House which was built in 1858. For years it housed the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. In the late 1960s the townhouse has been used as an annex to the Blair House, The President's guest House
