Items in the Military Gallery at Morristown National Park Museum

This gallery highlights the portion of the park's collection focusing on the military aspect of the Revolutionary War. War naturally involves competing armed forces and the employment of traditional and cutting-edge weaponry. This exhibit explains the tactics, weapons, strategy, and camp life by a mixture of artifacts and narrative text.

This Field Cannon in this pictures was manufactured in the late 18th Century in England. It was one several captured from the British at Princeton on January 3,1777. With artillery and arms in short supply, the victory at Princeton not only boosted the morale of the patriots, it bolstered their scant arsenal.
