Jockey Hollow In Morristown National Historic Park

Jockey Hollow was the site of the Continental Army's encampment there during the winter of 1779-1780. A farmer's fields and wooded hills were transformed in a few months into a camp site for over 10,000 soldiers- making it the 5th largest city in the country at that time.
