The Grand Organ in St. Patrick's Cathedral

The first organ in the new St. Patrick's Cathedral was built in 1879 by George Jardine & Son of New York City. A notice placed by the firm in the June 28, 1879 issue of the American Art Journal stated, "The organ was built in the new open style, displaying all the pipes, symmetrically grouped, highly decorated in the Gothic style and richly gilded.
