These doors display six figures, each 37 inches high flanked by decorated design, and each identified in some way with the church and the State of New York. St. Joseph in the upper left is symbolic as patron of workingmen. St. Patrick is the patron of the Archdiocese of New York and Apostle of Ireland. The middle left figure is St. Isaac Jogues, a French Jesuit priest the first Catholic missionary to enter New York State while the middle right figure is Mother Cabrini wearing the habit of the Sisters of the Sacred Heart, which she founded. The lower left door is St. Kateri Tekakwitha known as the "Lily of the Mohawks" and the bottom right is St. Elizabeth Ann Seton the first American Saint.
