Hackensack War Memorial
At the center of The Green stands the Hackensack War Memorial. The bas relief at the front of the monument is a tribute to Revolutionary War soldiers, and depicts General Washington at the Battle of Monmouth. There are three other panels representing the Civil War, The Spanish-American War, and World War 1. It bears the inscription, "Erected in 1924 by the people of Hackensack in Memory of its soldiers and sailors who fought in the wars of the United States of America."
