In the early 1950s, a major article in LIFE magazine assessed the nationwide college facilities shortages, as GIs flocked to college after World War II. As a result, Montclair State constructed 'the ultimate' Life Hall, which now houses the DuMont Television Center, featuring two studios, a classroom and an editing room.
