Hydro-electric controls
Trefriw Woollen Mill - the hydro-electric turbine dating from the 1940s generates the electricity to power the mill. Some of the water in the river Crafnant is diverted into a pipe about 340 metres upstream. The water from the pipe turns the pelton wheel inside the turbine which drives the alternator.
