Art Deco Faux Silver Post Box

The post box is made of maillechort (also called argentan or German silver), an alloy of copper, nickel and zinc that resembles silver but is far less expensive and resists tarnishing.

It's still used for mail but it's a shame that this work of art is plastered with these postal notices. Couldn't they go on a placard above the letter box?
