Kirk Douglas Theatre Entrance
I had a chance to stop by the Kirk Douglas Theatre to get some pictures of this handsome building. It originally opened in the late 1940s as a movie palace, but was nearly derelict by the 1980s. A remodeling project began in 2001 to transform it into a venue for live theater. It reopened as the Kirk Douglas Theatre in 2004 as part of the Centre Theatre Group in Los Angeles. It still retains the original "Culver" sign tower as well.
I especially like the ornate ticket booth.
This is a five-image HDR.
