LOAD Day 2 -- Take a Stab at It
My weapon of choice today was my paper piercer. I used it to outline the stamped heart with stitching and also for the dashed lines at the top and bottom of the page.
This layout is really special to me because it is one of the only photos I have of my Nana and I. She died when I was only 3 years old and so I don't have many memories of her. I often wished that I could have known her. I've been told that my love of "gadgets" was from her...so I have her to thank when I look around my craft room at all my goodies :-)
Initially when Lain posted the prompt...take a stab at it, I thought she was going to encourage us to try something new...and I had every intention of handwriting the journaling (I always use the computer), but I just didn't want to risk ruining this pristine layout with my messy chicken scratch. So the huge amount of white space is my "new" component. I had to refrain myself from over embellishing....it looked so naked. Could have used this for yesterday's prompt too, I guess.
