Pollock

Inspired by THIS Time/Life photo of Jackson Pollock.

 

I really wish I would've taken better care to get this lit properly.... but there is no way that I am going to set this up again. I also wish that my PS skills were good enough to get that elusive lens turning into paint effect that we all use so often (there really should be a plug-in for that). ;)

I've had a number of conversations with people of late regarding whether or not photography is ART and whether I consider myself a "artist" (the answer is that I believe in the former, but I'm not so sure about the later)..... from these conversations I started to think about this shot. And by a weird stroke of coincidence "Pollock" was actually on TV this morning..... so I took that as a sign that I had to shoot this today. ;)
