Up before 5am to catch the Eurostar at Kings Cross, out at Gare du Nord, down to the hotel to drop off our luggage, on to see the Eiffel Tower, a stop for lunch and then up to the top of the tower and down again, a tumble down the stairs for Georgia (luckily no injuries), a ride on the carousel, a boat cruise on the Seine, across the bridge to Trocadero, into Cafe Kleber as the rain started, back to the hotel to sleep, hotel ran out of towels, broken shower head sprays most of the bathroom, up for breakfast and off to Musee du Louvre, mega-queues for tickets, jambon baguettes for lunch, looked at Denon wing and a little bit of the Sully wing, brains full so out to the Jardin des Tuileries, Georgia made a birds nest, then a stroll up to Place de la Concorde, looked at the Luxor obelisk and fountains, walked up the Champs-Elysees, stopped for dinner and eventually made it to Arc de Triomphe, jumped on the Metro at Charles de Gaulle Etoile back to the hotel, power cuts at the hotel, sleep, breakfast, checkout, stashed luggage in parent's room, Metro to Cite to see Notre-Dame, Georgia has a play in the park and meets Elenor, quick lunch, looked at markets (birds, fish, orchids, cactii, etc), hundreds of skaters stop traffic, back on the Metro to Anvers, up the steps to Sacre-Coeur, crepes in Place du Tertre courtyard, back to the hotel to get luggage, up to Gare du Nord, quick dinner, goodbyes to grandparents, check-in on Eurostar home, taxi home and straight to bed.
