The Old South Church played a significant role in early American history. Among other contributions, the Old South congregation baptized Benjamin Franklin on the day he was born in 1706 and his family members were prominent leaders. This may not be it's most significant contribution, but I do respect and admire Ben and am always pleased to learn more about him.
