I. Crystal 2a Size
This shows the actual size of the crystal in this set alongside a US Quarter Dollar.Multifaceted does not begin to describe this crystal.
This crystal was dug in Arizona, USA.
It came from a location well known for spectacular Quartz crystals. This however is not a normal Quartz Crystal. It is of the same (about) Hardness as Quartz, and will scratch Glass.
It displays many of the geometrical characteristics of Quartz, however, the structures are as though turned inside out.The hexagonal geometry turns within this crystal with "air chambers" dispersed well throughout the interior of the crystal.Inclusions of Geometrical aspects fill this tiny crystal so that it displays so many chambers and multi-geometrical designs as to defy description.
How something so small can hold so much geometry is incredible.I have spent hours just trying to figure out how all the geometry connects within this heart shaped crystal. Some structure is Quartz, and surrounding that air and other inclusions of mineral.
As I was photographing it I realized that I could continue taking pictures for hours and not have any two identical images. All dependant on light source and direction of light as well as exact focal length into the Crystal itself.
Note that I had displayed a different crystal Earlier in my photo collections, that crystal was much larger, but did come from a nearby area.
