Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument No. 160, located in Inyo County, CA. One of ten WWII relocation centers for Japanese-Americans, Manzanar held 10,000 people beginning in March 1942. The Interpretive Center opened in 2004 and is located in the camp's original auditorium, built by detainees in 1944.
