Here in Puget Sound region of Washington State, we do get snow occasionally. We rarely get more than a couple of inches at a time and rarely does it last more than a couple days.
The week of January 16-20, 2012 brought a once in a decade winter storm. After 8-12 inches of snow the freezing rain topped everything off with an inch of rock-hard ice. What a mess!
