Savanna farm house
A rare example of a modern farmhouse designed appropriately for the tropical savannas. The good features are largely those of traditional Queenslander houses. The roof is white or metallic and reflective, the living areas are up off the ground at first-floor level to maximise breezes and keep away from the hot ground, the windows are tinted and there are wide overhanging eaves to keep the sun off. The carport under the livingroom (on the left side of the house) appears to have ceiling fans! And there is a solar heater on the roof.
