I forgot to mention in the previous photo of Julia Hut that there are hot springs nearby - about 10 mins walk downstream - by the Taipo River. There was a small hot pool (about half a metre round) next to the freezing cold river. To really appreciate it, you need to dig it out more and add some cold river water. Just as I was about to leave, I noticed some digging tools on a high rock but we hadn't brought anything to add the cold water into the hot, so I didn't get to have a warm bath.
