While absolutely everything outside was frosted over with ice as hail rained down all day, it couldn't have been a more cozy and warm day inside our school's walls.
The halls were filled with pink shirts, awareness campaigns were launched, advice and messages of kindness were shared, and, of course, there were hugs and smiles. Then there were reading clubs at recess, and the sweetest library helpers keeping me organized throughout the day.
The cherry on top: treat day (!!) and really good lunchtime conversations. I am so grateful for my colleagues, and the support we all show each other, and our students. I really felt it today.
I cherish days like this at work, and for the community of educators I am privileged to work with every day.
