She was in the play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Before my NYC trip, I had asked an acquaintance there (who understands fangirling :) ) if anyone cool was on Broadway at the mo, and she mentioned this. So I saw it mainly because of Weaver and David Hyde Pierce. :D

 

The play was quite funny and I realized one should always take in at least one Broadway show when in Rome I mean NYC because presumably Broadway is at the bottom of a gargantuan global talent-funnel!

 

But if someone insanely famous is in said show and it seems like your only chance to see them IRL!!!!!!!! ever, that is of course a bonus. :)

 

I saw the matiné and waited by the stage door afterwards, and then again after the evening show... I told Weaver I love "Snow cake", and she said that meant a lot to her. IIRC. :D

 

PS. I also recommend "Gorillas in the mist: The story of Dian Fossey". *bawl*
