Lutherkirche- Castle Church
Die Schlosskirche, auch Kirche der Reformation, ist eine evangelische Kirche in Lutherstadt Wittenberg und seit 1996 UNESCO-Welterbestätte.[1] Sie gilt als Ausgangspunkt der Reformation, nachdem am 31. Oktober 1517 Martin Luther von hier aus seine 95 lateinischen Disputationsthesen verbreitet hatte.
Die Lutherrose(rechts oben) ist ein Symbol der evangelisch-lutherischen Kirchen. Sie ging aus dem Siegel hervor, das Martin Luther ab dem Spätsommer 1530 für seinen Briefverkehr verwendete.
Das erst sollt ein Kreuz sein, schwarz im Herzen, das seine natürliche Farbe hätte, damit ich mir selbst Erinnerung gäbe, daß der Glaube an den Gekreuzigten uns selig machet. Solch Herz aber soll mitten in einer weißen Rosen stehen, anzuzeigen, daß der Glaube Freude, Trost und Friede gibt, darum soll die Rose weiß und nicht rot sein; denn weiße Farbe ist der Geister und aller Engel Farbe. Solche Rose stehet im himmelfarben Felde, daß solche Freude im Geist und Glauben ein Anfang ist der himmlische Freude zukünftig, jetzt wohl schon drinnen begriffen und durch Hoffnung gefasset, aber noch nicht offenbar.

The Luther seal or Luther rose is a widely recognized symbol for Lutheranism. It was the seal that was designed for Martin Luther at the behest of John Frederick of Saxony in 1530
The first should be a black cross in a heart, which retains its natural color, so that I myself would be reminded that faith in the Crucified saves us. That is why the rose should be white and not red, for white is the color of the spirits and the angels.Such a rose should stand in a sky-blue field, symbolizing that such joy in spirit and faith is a beginning of the heavenly future joy, which begins already, but is grasped in hope, not yet revealed.
