Das Barockhaus Neißstraße 30 ist ein bedeutendes Handels- und Wohnhaus der Barockzeit in Görlitz, das nach dem Stadtbrand zwischen 1727 und 1729 errichtet wurde.
Seit 1951 wird es als Teil des städtischen Kulturhistorischen Museums genutzt. Es befindet sich inmitten der Altstadt .
Das Portal des Hauses besitzt einen mächtigen Giebel mit zwei Giebelfiguren und einer reich verzierten Kartusche. Die Inschrift in der Kartusche lautet:
„I.U. MUSEUM S.L.L.S.“
„In uno Museum Societatis Litterarum Lusatiae Superioris“
„Das ganze Gebäude möge eine Stätte für gelehrte Studien der Oberlausitzischen Gesellschaft der Wissenschaften sein.“
The Baroque house Neißstraße 30 is an important trading and residential building from the Baroque period in Goerlitz, which was built between 1727 and 1729 after the city fire.
Since 1951 it has been used as part of the city's cultural history museum. It is located in the middle of the old town.
The portal of the house has a mighty gable with two gable figures and an ornate cartouche. The inscription in the cartridge reads:
